Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 What though they would say, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
