The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
