Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5
