The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ God's command comes; so seek not to hasten it. Glory be to Him! High be He exalted above that they associate with Him! 1 He sendeth down the angels with the spirit by His command upon whomsoever of his bondmen He willeth: warn that there is no god but I, wherefore fear Me. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with the truth; Supreme is He above their ascribing of partners (to Him). 3 He creates man out of a [mere] drop of sperm: and lo! this same being shows himself endowed with the power to think and to argue! 4 And He created the cattle for you; you have in them warm clothing and (many) advantages, and of them do you eat. 5 And you find beauty in them as you drive them to pasture in the morning and as you drive them back home in the evening; 6 And they carry your heavy loads to regions which you could not reach but with distress of the souls; most surely your Lord is Compassionate, Merciful. 7 And horses, and mules, and asses, for you to ride, and as an adornment; and He creates what you know not. 8 And upon Allah is the direction of the [right] way, and among the various paths are those deviating. And if He willed, He could have guided you all. 9
