And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
