So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
