He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 As for him who comes to you striving (after goodness), 8 and fearfully, 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 (Contained) in honoured pages, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
