S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder... 1 Nay, but the unbelievers are steeped in arrogance and stubborn defiance. 2 How many did We destroy before them of the generations, then they cried while the time of escaping had passed away. 3 So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies! 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended. 6 We never heard of it in the former faith. It is surely a fabrication. 7 What, has the Remembrance been sent down on him out of us all?' Nay, but they are in doubt of My Remembrance; nay, they have not yet tasted My chastisement. 8 Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower? 9 Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, theirs? Then let them climb up the ladders (to the heavens). 10 The army is defeated as (were) the confederates. 11 The people of Noah, Ad and the dominating Pharaoh had rejected Our revelations. 12 Thamood, the nation of Lot and the dwellers of the Thicket such were the confederates. 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
