Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
