The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
