Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
