The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
