۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 'Behold, these are a small troop, 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, those with Moses said: Lo! we are indeed caught. 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 68
