The people of Noah rejected the Messengerss. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 I seek of you no reward for this: my reward is with none except the Lord of the Universe. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 and drowned the others. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
