1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 For the like of this, then, let them labour, those who labour [in God's way]! 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 They will eat and fill their bellies with it, 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
