In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
