The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 roaring over the hearts 7 covered down upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
