We have placed constellations in heaven and have beautified it for beholders, 16 And We have preserved it from every accursed devil, 17 save him who may eavesdrop, and then a bright flame pursues him. 18 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. 19 And We have appointed thereon for you livelihoods and also for those of whom ye are not the providers. 20 Naught is there, but its treasuries are with Us, and We send it not down but in a known measure. 21 And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. 22 It is We who give life and cause things to die and We are the sole Heirs. 23 We surely know those of you who go forward and those of you who lag behind. 24 Lo! thy Lord will gather them together. Lo! He is Wise, Aware. 25
