And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 When I have completed shaping him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall you down before him in prostration." 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 except Iblis; he refused to join those who prostrated. 31 "How is it, O Iblis," said (the Lord), "you did not join those who bowed in homage?" 32 He said it was not for me that I should prostrate myself unto a human being whom Thou hast created from ringing clay of loam moulded. 33 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. 34 and [My] rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 35 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 36 The Lord said, "Your request is granted 37 Until the Day of the time well-known." 38 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,- 39 except those of Your servants whom You have singled out for Yourself." 40 God said, "This is the path which leads straight to Me. 41 Over My true servants you will be able to exercise no power, your power will be confined to the erring ones, those who choose to follow you. 42 Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
