Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
