Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 yet you ignore it. 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 "And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while. 88
