Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In a high Garden 10 hearing there no babble; 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 well arranged goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 And linen spread out. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And the heaven – how it has been raised? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26
