The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 So for one who gave and practised piety 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 And rejects goodness, 9 We will make smooth for him the path for evil; 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 16 But the righteous one will avoid it - 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 only seeking the Face of his Lord the Most High; 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
