And this was Our argument which We vouchsafed unto Ibrahim against his people. We raise in degrees whomsoever We list; verily thy Lord is Wise, Knowing. 83 And We gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good. 84 And also Zakariyya and Yahya and Isa and llyas: each one was of the righteous. 85 and Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot whom We exalted over all people. 86 And also some of their fathers and their progeny and their brethren, We chose them, and We guided them to a Straight Path. 87 Such is the guidance of Allah wherewith He guideth whom He will of His bondmen. But if they had set up (for worship) aught beside Him, (all) that they did would have been vain. 88 Those are they unto whom We vouchsafed the Book and judgement and prophethood. Wherefore if those disbelieve therein, We have surely entrusted it unto a people who are not disbelievers therein. 89 They are those whom Allah had guided. So follow their guidance. Say: "No reward I ask of you for this (the Quran). It is only a reminder for the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns)." 90
