The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
