Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 exclude me from the unjust people". 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace. 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
