The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 It may be that you will destroy yourself with grief because they will not believe. 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Do they not see the earth, how We grow all kinds of noble things upon it? 7 Verily, in this is an Ayah (proof or sign), yet most of them (polytheists, pagans, etc., who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers. 8 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
