And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients 68 Say thou: travel in the land and behold what like hath been the end of the culprits. 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 But verily thy Lord is full of grace to mankind: Yet most of them are ungrateful. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 There is nothing of the hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not recorded in the luminous Book. 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 and, verily, it is a guidance and a grace unto all who believe [in it]. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 Surely you cannot make the dead hear you, nor can you make the deaf hear your call if they turn back in flight, 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
