(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Do they say, "He is only a poet and we are waiting to see him die!?" 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad SAW)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief). 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Or, did they create the heavens and the earth? No, their belief is not certain! 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 the day when their guile shall avail them naught, and they shall not be helped. 46 The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars. 49
