Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
