Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Not at all but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble scribes, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
