The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
Almighty Allah's Truth.
