And as the caravan set out (from Egypt), their father said (in Canaan): "Indeed I smell the fragrance of Joseph. I say so although you may think that I am doting." 94 (Those around him) said: By Allah, lo! thou art in thine old aberration. 95 But when the bearer of good tidings came [with Joseph's tunic,] he laid it over his face; and he regained his sight, [and] exclaimed: "Did I not tell you, 'Verily, I know, from God, something that you do not know'?" 96 They said, “O our father! Seek forgiveness for our sins, for we were indeed guilty.” 97 "I will ask my Lord to forgive you," he replied, "for He is forgiving and kind." 98 And when they came in before Joseph, he took his parents unto him, and said: Come into Egypt safe, if Allah will! 99 He seated his parents by his side on the throne; and they fell down before him in homage. "O my father," said Joseph, "this is the meaning of my earlier dream. My Lord has made it come true. He was gracious in getting me out of the prison, and bringing you out of the desert to me after the discord created by Satan between me and my brothers, for my Lord is gracious to whomsoever He please. He is indeed all-knowing and all-wise. 100 ۞ My Lord, You have given me [something] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous." 101 These are tidings of the unseen that We reveal to you, [O Prophet], though you were not present with them when they plotted and agreed upon a plan. 102 Yet most men will not become believers, no matter how eager you may be. 103 And no reward dost thou ask of them for this: it is no less than a message for all creatures. 104
