And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
