Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 and the severally severing 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
