The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
