Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 Yet they have split their affairs between themselves into sects, each rejoicing in what it has. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 it is these who hasten to do good works and vie in so doing with one another. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 "Put a stop to your groaning now! Surely no help shall be provided to you from Us. 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
