She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” 29 They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" 31 They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, 32 that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones 33 "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." 34 So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers. 35 but We found only one Muslim house. 36 and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. 39 Then We laid hold of him and his hosts and flung them into the sea, and he was reproachable. 40 And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. 44 they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. 45 The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. 46
