Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;- 1 Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving; 2 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 3 Then look again and again. Your gaze will come back to you confused and exhausted. 4 And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire. 5 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination. 6 When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. 7 and wellnigh bursts asunder with rage. As often as a troop is cast into it, its keepers ask them, 'Came there no warner to you?'; 8 They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'" 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 So they shall confess their sin. Far away they be, the fellows of the Blaze! 11 Verily those who dread their Lord unseen, theirs shall be forgiveness and a great hire. 12 Whether you speak in secrecy or aloud, (it is all the same to Allah). He even knows the secrets that lie hidden in the breasts of people. 13 Shall He not know, who created? And He is the All-subtle, the All-aware. 14
