T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
