Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and covered them with torment. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
