The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky containing great stars 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 while they sat around it, 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
