Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya Sin 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 Verily thou art of the sent ones, 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 So that you may warn these people whose ancestors were not warned, they are therefore unaware. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that they cannot bow their heads 8 And We have made before them a barrier and a barrier behind them, then We have covered them over so that they do not see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You warn only him who follows the advice and fears the Most Gracious without seeing; therefore give him glad tidings of forgiveness and an honourable reward. 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
