۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 clear, delightful to those who drink it: 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 Are we then not to die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of this, then, let them labour, those who labour [in God's way]! 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
