Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
