The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
