▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
