The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
