(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
