O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 "Put a stop to your groaning now! Surely no help shall be provided to you from Us. 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 behaving arrogantly, and making fun, and talking nonsense (about the Book in your nightly chats)." 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And if the truth had been in accordance with their desires, verily, the heavens and the earth, and whosoever is therein would have been corrupted! Nay, We have brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 until We opened upon them the door of a severe chastisement. Then lo, in this state they become utterly despaired of any good. 77
